Sarheher (Zarfeher) RARE GRAPE white

Its name (Sár=mud, fehér=white) is from its color. When its completely ripe, it looks like a bunch that was dipped in mud. Perfect base for sparkling wines and for blending with less aromatic grapes because it has a very intense, aromatic scent. It is slow to ripen, usually  harvested in late September, when the texture is fine and the acidity is usually very high. The first written notes referring to this varietal date back to the 1200’s.
