Muskat Gutedel - Historische Rebsorten (Muscat Gutedel) RARE GRAPE white

"The variety is believed to come from Northern Syria from the Chalus River (Chaslus) or from the city of Chalus on the Caspian Sea in Northern Iran. The Chasseles were spread by the Crusaders from the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia. In regions with mild winter conditions, such as the Upper Rhine Valley, it was mixed with Gutedel and Muscatel. It gave the varietal White Gutedel additional aroma. This aromatic grape variety was considered extinct by 2008."
