Giosana RARE GRAPE white

Giosana is a rare, white autochthonous grape variety native to the Basilicata region in southern Italy. Recovered by local researchers, it produces straw-yellow, fruity wines with aromas of apple, peach, and jasmine.(Wein plus)

Because it is an incredibly niche and newly authorized variety, commercial plantings are primarily experimental. There are currently no large-scale, international distributors. Cultivation of this grape is predominantly managed by small-scale, experimental vineyards in the Lucania/Basilicata region that focus on preserving indigenous and historical vines (https://www.bio-conferences.org)
