Bosco RARE GRAPE white

Bosco is a white Italian wine grape variety that is grown predominantly in the Liguria region of northwest Italy. It is a permitted variety in the Denominazione di origine controllata (DOC) wine of Cinque Terre where it is often the primary component of the blend. In winemaking, care must be taken in handling due to Bosco's propensity to oxidize easily, creating potential wine faults(Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

This robust and very productive plant which prefers to grow on poor soils with a medium sieve fraction, is almost an exclusive of the Cinque Terre and Levanto area; its origins are not clear, but we do know that it was found in a wood by the marquis of Durazzo from Genova and then grown in Riomaggiore by the Bonfiglio family. The wines produced from this variety are very generous and have a strong bond with the territory, they also have a thyme/lemon and terragon perfume. They have a generous structure, pleasant flavour and a warm, saline note. (https://www.enotecaregionaleliguria.it/)
