RARE GRAPE VARIETAL RESOURCE

Bariadorgia is a virtually extinct varietal still found in Sardinia and Corsica. 

Mid ripening, needing a warm, well-exposed site to ripen fully. The vine tends to produce big clusters of large size berries but usually has a relatively low sugar levels. The varietal is very sensitive to botrytis and powdery mildew.

Carcajolo Nero is not related to Bariadorgia/Carcajolo Blanc 

(Autoctovino has yet to record a producer that cultivates and bottles the wine as a mono-varietal)
