Barbera Sarda is an Italian wine grape variety grown in the south of the island of Sardinia used primarily to add acidity to a blend. It can be produced as mono-varietal wine.

Despite the similarities in their names, there is no known close genetic relationship between the Barbera Sarda and any other Barbera

The number of hectares in production appears to be declining

(Autoctovino has yet to find a producer that cultivates and bottles the wine as a mono-varietal)
