RARE GRAPE VARIETAL RESOURCE

This varietal is different from the Barbarossa grown in Emilia Romagna.

The Ligurian variety is also known as Barbarossa di Finalborgo (or Verduna) and is said to produce very good quality wines.

As DNA testing has yet to be performed, a French Barbarossa grown in Corsica may be the same varietal

(Single varietal bottlings are rare - see producer below)
