Augster Weiss (Goher, Feher Goher) RARE GRAPE white

It’s origin is from the time of King Bela IV. (1206-1270). They say he brought Italian colonists to the country and they brought the Furmint and the Fehér Gohér to Hungary. Until the 16th century it wasn’t a common grape type but since that until the Phylloxera it became one of the most planted white variety, especially in Tokaj. It is a very sensitive plant with a small yield. Harvest time is around September. It gives a light and aromatic wine.(Information sourced from János Tamás Ujvári and https://szentesipince.hu/)
