Widespread (when combined with Sicilian production)

Referred  to as Ansonica in Tuscany and the neighbouring islands off the Tuscan shore - Giglio and Elba.

Styles vary quite notably between the Tuscan Islands and Sicily.

Unlike most white wine varietals that have varying degrees of acidity, Ansonica is rather tannic.
