RARE GRAPE VARIETAL RESOURCE

Alionza is an Italian wine varietal grown in the Emilia-Romagna region of north central Italy. It has a long history with references dating back to the 1300's.

With fewer than 50 hectares remaining and used primarily as a blending wine, the low productivity varietal is slowly disappearing. 

Very few producers bottling it as a mono-varietal are known. (One known producer is listed below)
